Nick the IT guy

I've been fixing computers since my brother brought home our very first, an Apple IIc. Since then, I have burnt four processors (no joke, smoking and on fire), installed six different operating systems, created an eight-disk raid drive (0+1, speed+reliability), and overclocked a 1.6 ghz to 2.6 on watercooling.

Truth be told, I'm not a computer whiz. I just like to play with things. Computers parts are like giant lego pieces to me.

In my experience, around only 10 percent of computer problems stem from hardware issues. And of that 10 percent, about 95 percent are hard drive related. I'm hoping Lily's Vaio SR190 (you need a nickname for this badboy) is a hard drive problem, because honestly, I dont really know how to fix any other hardware problems.

Anyways, I took pictures of the process for those that are interested (ie., lily and tina)
